The company last week attributed a decline in its share price to a newsletter article that said the Food and Drug Administration was looking into allegations by a former employee that the company had altered data in tests of an AIDS drug. The company said it had sued the newsletter and called the FDA interest a routine inquiry. Ernst & Young wasn't available for comment. Health Professionals, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., runs a network of research and primary-care facilities specializing in immune-system disorders. In composite American Stock Exchange trading, Health Professionals shares closed at $2.5625, up 31.25 cents, or 14%.
