    U. S. Bioscience Buys Plant

    WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, Pa.  -- U. S. Bioscience Inc. said it acquired
 from a unit of Montedison SpA a plant in Nijmegen, the Netherlands,
 for production of cancer and AIDS drugs for the European Community
 and other international markets.
    U. S. Bioscience develops cancer drugs; Montedison is a
 pharmaceutical company in Milan, Italy.
