    Genelabs Technologies jumped 1 3/8 to 7 3/4.  The company
 said it received a U. S. patent related to its GLQ223 drug,
 which is being developed as a treatment for AIDS, or acquired
 immune deficiency syndrome.  Genelabs said some in-vitro
 studies have shown the substance inhibits replication of the
 human immunodeficiency virus.
