                     Absolutely Positive
    This P. O. V. production has the distinction of being the
 only documentary on AIDS that manages to treat the infected
 as though they were men and women recognizably of this earth.
 Without sanctimony and -- mostly -- without tendentiousness,
 this fine film (by Peter Adair), introduces a selection of
 HIV positive people from the usual risk groups.  They are
 extraordinarily appealing in their humor and
 straightforwardness -- not least the male model who just
 wants to be himself and have a rotten day, without having to
 live life to the fullest.  10-11 p.m. EDT, on PBS.
