    WORLD AIDS TOLL INCREASES
    The world-wide tally of acquired immune deficiency
 syndrome cases in the first quarter, reported from 162
 countries, jumped 9.8% to 345,533, compared with the previous
 quarter, the World Health Organization said in Geneva.  Many
 nations underreport their AIDS figures, WHO said, adding that
 it believes the total could be about 1.3 million.
