The joke went: It is said that French President Francois Mitterrand has 100 lovers and one of them has AIDS, but he doesn't know which one. U. S. President Bush has 100 bodyguards and one of them is a terrorist, but he doesn't know which one. Meanwhile, Mr. Gorbachev has 100 economic advisers and only one of them is smart, but he also doesn't know which one.
