    A five-year-old boy who acquired AIDS after a blood
 transfusion won a suit against the supplier.  A San Francisco
 jury awarded $750,000 in damages for the child, who received
 the blood during open-heart surgery a month after he was
 born.  It was the first jury verdict involving a blood bank
 and AIDS in the U. S.
