   Rorer Group Plans Partnership

   FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Rorer Group Inc. said it plans to
form a partnership with Immune Response Corp., a closely held
San Diego-based research concern developing potential
vaccines to combat acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or
AIDS. 
   Rorer plans to invest $5 million in the partnership and
will acquire a $10 million stake in Immune Response, which is
headed by Dr. Jonas Salk, pioneer of the polio vaccine.  Rorer
is a pharmaceutical concern based here.
