Cambridge BioScience Accord WORCESTER, Mass. -- Cambridge BioScience Corp. said it signed an agreement to supply genetically engineered proteins to Syntex Corp.'s Syva Co. The proteins will be used to develop diagnostic products for acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or AIDS, and other diseases. Precise terms of the agreement weren't disclosed, but Cambridge BioScience said Syva will finance some of its research activities and pay licensing fees to Cambridge BioScience for the diagnostic products being developed. Cambridge BioScience is a biotechnology concern. Syntex, based in Palo Alto, Calif., makes drugs, medical diagnostic systems and animal health products.
