Kodak to Market Test Kits For Virus Linked to AIDS ROCHESTER, N. Y -- Eastman Kodak Co. said it would begin marketing kits to test for the virus that causes acquired immune deficiency syndrome. Kodak also said a test kit for the virus that causes adult T-cell leukemia is available for research purposes pending approval by the Food and Drug Administration. Both kits are made by Buffalo, N. Y. -based Cellular Products Inc. for distribution by Kodak. The AIDS test kits will be sold to blood banks, hospitals, public health centers and independent laboratories for $1 to $1.50 each. The kits determine the presence of antibodies to the human immunodeficiency virus. Presence of the antibodies indicates contact with the virus but doesn't mean the person has AIDS or will develop it.
