Cellular Products Gets Approval for Test Kit BUFFALO, N. Y. -- Cellular Products Inc. said it received federal approval to market Retro-Tek HTLV-3 Elisa, a test kit to be used by blood banks to screen for HTLV-3, an agent of acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or AIDS. The developer of diagnostic tests, services and research products said it plans to sell the kit world-wide under the company's trademark as well as under private labels. The company said it expects to begin shipping the kit domestically within two weeks, but anticipates a six-month lag in shipping internationally because of foreign regulatory requirements.
