   The Pentagon has asked a medical advisory board to study
whether there are any other steps that could be taken to
combat the threat to active-duty personnel from acquired
immune deficiency syndrome.  The Defense Department currently
uses an FDA-approved AIDS blood test, which some homosexual
groups contend is unreliable.
