   To Develop Blood Tests

   MALVERN, Pa. -- Centocor Inc. said it and Du Pont Co. 
agreed to develop and market blood tests for hepatitis and
acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or AIDS. 
   Under the agreement, the companies will combine
research-and-development efforts.  Centocor, a biotechnology
concern, said Du Pont, a chemical company, will market
products developed under the agreement to medical
institutions and professionals.
