   AIDS SPREADS. Once confined to big cities in the U. S., the
deadly acquired immune deficiency syndrome is now reported in
46 states.  Only four states -- Idaho, Montana, North Dakota
and South Dakota -- are AIDS free, according to the Center
for Disease Control in Atlanta.
