to back pending legislation to improve collection of child-
support payments.  She also backed special HHS funding for 
research into acquired immune deficiency syndrome, or AIDS. 
And to help calm public alarm about AIDS, she visited a 
hospitalized victim of the disease, which mostly afflicts male
homosexuals.
