At the request of a good friend, I am terminating this thread.  

I would like to restate my principles: 
(1) I believe in dialogue to change others' minds.  It has proven itself in
the post-WWII era and is a necessary part of human interaction. 
(2)  I have had extensive discussions with Peter Duesberg, the acknowledged
leader of the dissident camp in this country, and he confirms what I say
about anal insemination having NOTHING to do with AIDS.  My opinions are
therefore informed opinions and not coming from any "PC" point of view. 
(3)  I reiterate my fear that AIDS is doing MORE damage to society by
instilling FEAR and preventing free sexuality than in any other area of human
activity.  To speak about anal sex leading to AIDS contributes directly to
this fear and thus the growing pathological thinking about sex. This can
ultimately lead to a new wave of puritanism and perhaps even fascism. 
(4) I have tried to have an intelligent discussion about this, but see that
it is impossible in this forum.  I am therefore refusing to answer any
further questions regarding this subject here.  
(5)  I will let Michael Wright have the last word.  He wrote:

This is not my view of things.  I believe that there is ONLY change and my
ideas will continue to evolve and change over the years, and I hope in the
direction of more love of every kind WITHOUT fear.  I will repeat: The very
idea that any act of love could lead to death is diabolical.  

Sorry, this is the end, rant and rave as you will, I will not answer any more
questions on this subject.
